Lots of people on social media think Katy Perry’s new single, Swish Swish, is a Taylor Swift diss track.
Last week Katy said her latest album wasn’t about her pop rival, but her fans think her latest song is.
The lyrics include: “Don’t you come for me/No, not today/you’re calculated/I’ve got your number/Because you’re a joke/and I’m a courtside killer queen.”
There’s also a spot of rapping from Nicki Minaj, who criticised Taylor Swift on Twitter in 2015.
Fans think Swish Swish is a response to Taylor Swift’s track Bad Blood.
Now Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Rose has weighed in.
She’s part of the Swift Squad and has criticised Katy Perry for the lyrics on the track.
Ruby Rose then told a fan that she enjoyed rapper Nicki Minaj’s part in Swish Swish.
A few hours later, responding to comments about her earlier posts, she added…
Taking to fans on Twitter, Ruby Rose also responded to a fan who asked if she had an issue with Bad Blood if she felt so strongly about Swish Swish.
The celebrity grudge started when Taylor Swift said that her 2014 single Bad Blood was about an experience with “another female artist”.
She told Rolling Stone: “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
Critics claimed she was talking about Katy Perry because they used some of the same dancers on their tours at the time.
Some people also thought the former mates fell out in 2012 when Katy dated Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, US singer John Mayer.
Katy Perry hasn’t said anything directly about their disagreement over the years but after Bad Blood was released Katy posted a cryptic tweet, referencing Mean Girls.
She also responded to a spat between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift in 2015.
