Lorde has given a free gig ticket to a fan who served her a drink in New York.
The Kiwi singer is in America for the Governors Ball music festival, which takes place this weekend.
Smoothie server Emely Medina said meeting the star made her morning.
But she says her day got even better when Lorde sent her a DM later saying she wanted to offer her a complimentary pass for her performance at the Governors Ball, which takes place at the city’s Randall’s Island Park.
Liquiteria employee Emely posted a video saying the singer was the first famous person she’d ever served.
Lorde is performing second at the Governors Ball bill on Friday just before headliner Chance The Rapper.
Emely says she wasn’t expecting to hear back from Lorde after meeting her in her store and thought she was joking when she messaged her back later on Twitter to ask her to watch her performance.
She replied saying: “Girllllllllll!!!!!!! OMG!!! Yes!! I’m crying rn!! This is insane.”
Lorde performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull on Saturday.
Her second album Melodrama is out on 16 June. The first single from the record, Green Light, peaked at number 20 on the Official Singles Chart.
