Mass murderer Charles Manson is alive in a California hospital,
but new reports suggest he may be near to death after serving
more than four decades behind bars for committing one of the
most notorious crimes in modern history.
Officials rushed the 83-year-old convict from the
Corcoran State Prison to a Bakersfield hospital earlier in the

condition, citing privacy laws, but the New York
Post reported that a spokeswoman for the
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation
confirmed that Manson is currently alive in the hospital.
And while it’s not the first time he’s been hospitalized this
reports that Manson’s latest health scare may be his

Manson has been serving nine concurrent life sentences for
orchestrating one of the most notorious crimes in U.S. history,
had been imprisoned for more than 45 years in prison.
In the 1960s, Manson, an ex-convict, assembled a group of
runaways and outcasts known as the “Manson Family.” In the
summer of 1969, he directed his mostly young, female followers
to murder seven people in what prosecutors said was part of a
plan to incite a race war.
Among the victims was actress Sharon Tate, the pregnant wife of
filmmaker Roman Polanski. She was stabbed 16 times by cult
